I'm snagging this from the blog of my dear friend from Lee, Ashlee:
"so perhaps it is a season for indulging. but not in another pair of not needed gloves or mittens. no no no. let us indulge in grace, in peace, in love. may we see one another, hold hands, and appreciate being. together."
I really appreciate this sentiment, a reminder that this Christmas season I love so much for it's warmth, coziness, and Christmas trees is all about Grace. It is where Grace starts. It is not always shown through the endurance of a violent event, but rather started with the gentle coo of a baby.
Thank you Jesus, for being a real person. I really want to know you better that way. Help us to give more Grace than anything else this season. I know this is when we are reminded that you shower it, you let it flow in a ceaseless stream.
Haha, I guess we should really sing, "Let it Flow! Let it Flow! Let it Flow!"
